Elise Silvestri (she/her) is a senior studying music technology at NYU, as well as a long-time climate activist. She views the climate crisis as a crisis of imagination, where art is an imperative to help people envision a better future to fight for. Working at the intersection of sound and climate, Elise takes from her time in grassroots organizing to present unique sensory experiences transporting listeners into stories of community and hope. Through podcasts, film scoring, live engineering, and compositions, she taps into our deepest humanity to bring out the innate courage in each of us. Her work has been featured in NYU's Sounds of De/composition Conference, the Citizens Climate Radio podcast, among other places.

Composed while I studied abroad in Prague, this immersive audio mini doc explores the history of climate injustice in Czechia and what activists on the ground are doing about it. Featured in NYU's Sounds of De/Composition Conference & University of Toronto's Ethnomusicology curriculum.
